Is Butterball® butter trans-fat free?
Yes. Our butter is completely free of trans fat.
Is Butterball® Farms USDA-approved?
Yes. We’re the only USDA-approved and inspected butter-embossing and butter-ball manufacturing plant in the United States. We also have the only USDA-approved blast-freeze tunnel for unwrapped butter in the US. USDA keeping-quality and grading tests are conducted on site weekly.
What does “93 Score” mean?
93 Score is a term originating from county fairs used for judging of butter on three categories: taste, color, and texture. To be USDA grade AA (the highest quality butter), a score must be 93 or above. All our butter falls into this category.
Can you customize a flavor or design for me?
Yes. We have hundreds of flavor profiles we’re already tested, and can modify any one of those or start from scratch. Our chef will work with your chef to create your desired flavor. We can handle any design you want, and would love to discuss what we can do for you.
Is your butter USDA Grade AA butter?
Yes. All our butter is USDA Grade AA.
Are you affiliated with Butterball Turkey?
We were. Leo Peters invented Butterball Turkey and Butterball Butter. When he sold the name and patents covering the Butterball Turkey, he made sure to retain the rights to license back the Butterball name for use with premium butter. Leo was very active in the business until he passed away in 1995. His son, Mark, now takes pride in running the business.
